Set 1 Week 4 : Arachne the Weaver

Once a talented human weaver, Arachne was transformed into a monstrous half-spider by a jealous rival's curse. Driven out of her village, she found sanctuary for a time among the jorogumo before a bitter feud forced her to flee once more. Now she wanders other corners of the dungeon with a small retinue of loyal students in tow, seeking a new domain in which they can spin their peerless tapestries in peace.

Challenge Details

The Species, Background, and God choices are all mandatory. You must be worshipping one of the gods listed above before entering Lair, Orcish Mines, the Vaults or Depths, unless this isn't possible in which case you must worship them as soon as you can. Don't use faded altars (except in challenges where you can choose any god), and don't do anything to lose your religion unless otherwise specified.

NOTE: Except for Beogh, Ignis, Jiyva and Lugonu, an altar for the other gods will ALWAYS show up by D:10.

Special Rule or Notes

Cosplay conduct points

1. Weapons

Only train Staves, Unarmed Combat, Throwing, and Fighting for weapon skills.

2. Form

Kill 3 Uniques while in a form.

3. Branch

Collect 3 runes before entering the Depths.

Conducts are worth +5 points each, to a maximum of half your score from milestones, rounded down. (So if you achieve 4 milestones (20 points) you can earn up to 10 points from conduct bonuses.) Small mistakes in following conducts will usually be forgiven.

Bonus challenges

1. Does Whatever A Spider Can

Get a rune from a rune branch while being in Spider Form (or Spider Talisman) for the entire branch. All of Vaults counts as one branch. Pan and the Abyss aren't eligible for this challenge. As a backup, if you manage to get 5 runes and clear Zot without finding Spider Form/Talisman, you earn the star.

2. Her Lips Were Wet With Venom

Always have Alchemy/Poison Magic as your highest skill, when you have any skill higher than skill level 8 ...and win the game.

Bonus challenges are worth one star each, similar to banners in Crawl tournaments. Small mistakes will usually be forgiven.

Milestones

• Reach XL3.
• Enter Lair, Orc, or Depths.
• Reach the bottom of Dungeon, Lair, or Orc.
• Collect your first rune.
• Find the entrance to Zot. (Just using magic mapping doesn't count.)
• Collect your third rune.
• Win the game.

The main way to score points. +5 points each, and can be done in any order.
